Audio Visual (AV) Technical Sales

A+K is looking for a self-motivated AV Technical Salesperson to join our Sales Team.

Having a technical background, you will engage with customers at all levels and be expected to drive projects from the initial enquiry stage through to implementation.

You will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technology, high profile clients and meet major suppliers from around the world.

You will be a confident self-starter, with highly developed interpersonal and sales skills. You will also have knowledge and experience of AV markets and technical competence across a range of manufacturers and technologies.

These include suppliers such as Crestron, Extron, Christie, Panasonic, Yamaha, Shure an Bose. The ideal candidate will also have experience in Custom control, HD video distribution, digital audio solutions including Dante, AVB. 

You must have sufficient technical AV experience to assess our clients and targets’ needs, and to develop technical solutions which will not just fit their needs, but exploit opportunities to bring fresh, new ideas to the table.

You will be able to demonstrate your achievements in previous AV business sales and technical roles, and be flexible enough to bolt onto our great team.

Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will have a good technical background, a proven sales track record, and excellent communication skills. 
  • Experience in working on tender/bid responses, including the ability to review tender documents, generate RFI’s, generate pricing schedules, estimate required labour, as well as attending Mid Bib and Post Bid interviews
  • Reporting to the Projects Business Manager and Managing Director, you will share knowledge and work closely together on all aspects of technical and project sales
  • You will also demonstrate the ability to specify, design and deliver technical solutions to the highest standard.


Essential requirements

  • A good technical background with a proven sales track record, and excellent communication skills.
  • Hold InfoComm CTS accreditation 
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, strives for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Self-starter and team player. 
  • Strong customer focus who builds lasting customer relationships.
  • IT literate with a good grasp of technology and innovation in the workplace.
  • Articulate, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Well-developed commercial and financial understanding.
  • Proven capability in delivering high quality customer presentations.
  • Willing to travel within the UK and internationally.

 

Full UK driving license required.

Position is based from the RedstoneConnect Holborn office in London, but also includes UK travel.
